One hour private lesson: $55

Two hour private lesson: $100

You can learn how to ride at any time in your life. Some of the best international riders are in their seventies.

Riding is an Olympic sport also recognized in the Presidential Physical Fitness awards. At the trot your body uses 465 calories per hour.

Our cornerstones are:

  • friendship

  • knowledge

  • understanding

  • wisdom

Our mission is to encourage friendship between horses and people. Our instructors can teach you how to listen to your horse. Both horses and instructors have many years of experience.

Our riding students are typically 30-85 years old and have a passion for horses.

A minimum of three lessons per month are required, weekly lessons are strongly recommended.

We offer all the benefits of horse ownership without the huge upfront costs. A quality horse with tack is approximately $15,000. Monthly maintenance is over $600. Our horses are priceless.

We ride in English saddles and bit-less bridles. The pace of the ride can be a leisurely walk or a trotting pace depending on your pleasure and trail conditions. There is 50+ miles of trails to explore, it is almost like you are in Northern Wisconsin.

The horses are trained to recognize 50+ verbal commands. They are always listening to our conversations, so we do not use verbal commands like whoa, walk, trot or canter unless we are telling them what to do. So, we do not say, “whoa what a beautiful flower” without giving the cues to stop. We would use the first letter of the command: W, T, C or the word “stop” to chat amongst ourselves.
